The JPO no longer requires signatures on Power of Attorney
On December 28, 2020, The Japan Patent Office announced that it no longer requires signatures on Power of Attorney .
Meanwhile, the Japan Patent Office clarifies that Power of Attorney with wet signatures is also acceptable, in the same manner as before.
Therefore, we offer 2 options to prepare Power of Attorney;
1.Digital Signature: To type applicant’s name in the word-format Power of Attorney emailed by us, and return the word file to us by email.
2.Wet Signature: To print out the word-format Power of Attorney emailed by us,sign it, and return the original by post.
